How to measure
Measure your finger
- Wrap a thin strip of paper or a non-stretch string snugly around the base of the finger you are buying for.
- Mark the point where the end overlaps.
- Lay it flat and measure from the end to the mark in millimetres. That length is your finger’s circumference.
- Find the nearest value in the Inside circumference column of the chart below.
Or measure a ring that fits
- Pick a ring that fits the same finger comfortably.
- Measure the inside diameter in millimetres, edge to edge across the widest point, without including the metal.
- Find the nearest value in the Inside diameter column of the chart below.
Tips for an accurate fit
- Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their largest.
- Measure when your hands are warm. Cold fingers are smaller and will give a size that feels tight later.
- The ring has to pass over your knuckle. If your knuckle is wider than the base of your finger, measure both and choose a size in between.
- Measure two or three times. If you land between two sizes, choose the larger one.
- Wide bands sit tighter than slim ones, so consider half a size up for a broad band.
